I used to have a lot of blogs I read daily. But then I was spending so much time blogging (reading blogs, mostly, but also writing my own) it was taking away from my writing, so I had to dial it back.

Yes, yes, and yes! The writing life is full of ups and downs. And it certainly doesn’t stop after being published. The end result is we write, and write, and write, and write.

I’ve been struggling with finding what path to take once I’m finished with my second Elixir book, and waiting on hearing from others in the industry to decide on that path. I’ll be writing, but I’m just not sure what. In the meantime, trying to stay focused on the book in front of me and get it written.

Glad you’re writing through it all.

It’s sure not easy to always be on top of our game, is it? But, I like your idea of having some reviews waiting in the wings for when you just don’t feel like posting something new.
The new project – well, it is definitely XVI-related and I can’t say too much about it yet.

While I’m not a writer, I love to read and I have my own review blog. Some weeks it’sso easy to be inspired to read and review everything. Posts come easily and are witty and interesting (atleast to me!). Other weeks, I don’t feel like reading or writing reviews and I feel bogged down, like I’m disappointing someone if I don’t maintain my commitment to my blog. So yeah, it’s about finding balance between all things, and also, writing extra reviews when I feel like it so I can still post when I don’t!

PS Can’t wait to hear more about this new writing project of yours! Is it XVI 3 or something new or can you not say just yet?
