You said there’s a book three. Any other books?

    • Ilma says:

Ok so it’s been a few months since I have read Truth and I’m dying to know when a third book will come out. I’m also worried about who Nina will choose. I want it to be Sal but in the 2nd book he’s just too distant. Mrs. Julia karr please tell me when the new book is coming out. I’m just so nervous to know what happens. :) :) :) !!!!

      TEAM SAL. VS. TEAM CHRIS
      (WHO WILL WIN NINA’S HEART?????)

  2. Sudha reynolds says:

How long is this series? A two book series? #1 XVI #2 TRUTH There’s nothing up on goodreads for a third. What’s the next book if there is one? It’s been half a year since the release of TRUTH. If your books follow a year pattern, then only 5 more months. I’m confused.

    • Elaine Smith says:

Yes, Gardening, TV, and Concerts are great but seriously when is book three coming out? I’m going to forget the first 2 by the time this one comes out and I don’t re-read. There’s just to many out there I want to read to do that LOL! Goodreads says 2013 so hopefully in the next couple of months?

I’m in love with XVI and Truth!! These books are A-M-A-ZING! They’re two of my top favorites :) Hahaha, I remember while reading about Chris and his love for Nina, I was like, “NO! Nina has to be with Sal!” But that kept the book interesting and I’m dying to figure out who Nina choses to be with. (I’m hoping it’s Sal, but I’ll be happy if she goes for Chris too) Now, I’m wondering what will happen next. I hope the next book comes out soon! :D

    • Julia Karr says:

So glad you liked XVI & Truth! I’ll post here when I know about book 3! :)

      • julia hernandez says:

There has to be another book ! I fell in love with this series, please let there be a book 3 :) i have to know what happens next.

        • Julia Karr says:

Thanks so much for your comments! I am working on book 3! I’ll keep you posted! :)

          • james says:

I love XVI it has become one of my favorite books. Question though, were you inspired by the uglies series?

          • Julia Karr says:

I’m so glad you like XVI! Thanks for the question! I was not inspired by the Uglies series – in fact, I have never read the series! Although I do hear it is great and it’s on my TBR list! XVI organically grew from a vision I had of a girl who eventually became Nina.

  5. stacy says:

I don’t know the exact date, but it is coming out this year in German. Probably in December. I hope you enjoy it, too! :)

      • Seta says:

Thanks, I wanted to ask the same. Well, I’m German but I read “XVI” in English so I did with “Truth”. I enjoyed reading, thanks a lot and actually I’m looking forward to the grand finale.

  7. Janae Haygood says:

I am reading Truth now, and let’s just say that I absolutely looovvvveeee it. I love how the writing is because I think almost the same way, she does! I love the fiery passion I see in all the characters, something that keeps them impulsive and lively. Thanks for something so great!

  8. Oh, Julia! Why would you do this to me?! I am in need of serious answers, ma’am. I’ve been in total love with Nina and her life since I picked up XVI, and am completely happy with Truth. Except….I finished it and am losing my mind! :) I did notice that in the above comments that you mentioned Nina’s diary, which I am about to devour. If you want to read my review you can find it at http://peaceloveandya.blogspot.com/2012/03/book-all-nighter-and-more.html. Hope you like it :)

    • Julia Karr says:

Thank you, Samantha! (I posted your review on my FB page!) I’m so glad you love Nina & her story! Keep track of her on her diary & there will be more! I’m working on it! :)

  9. Juli says:

Do you plan on writing a another book in the series after Truth?

    • Julia Karr says:

Juli – Thank you for asking! I am working on the 3rd one now. If you’d like to keep up with Nina until it’s done, she’s keeping a diary! See the link to the right of this post!

  10. Hannah says:

loved book #1 … Can’t wait for #2! Although I have to wait a while it isn’t at my library yet… Sooo excited!

  11. Jasmine says:

Just finished Truth, and I have to say, I am dying of anticipation for the third book now! Absolutely fantastic writing, and a very scary society that Nina and her friends live in. I could seriously picture a lot of the stuff that happens in the book happening in today’s society. It’s sick and disturbing, but it’s the harsh truth of just how things seem to be going. At least that’s how I see it. Anyway, I just wanted to say I am a new fan(I actually finished XVI a couple of days ago) and I will be recommending XVI and Truth to everyone I possibly can.

  12. Julia W. says:

A lot of dystopian novels have been published since the Hunger Games (which were kind of a masterpiece), but I thought none of them were so great except your “XVI” and now, I guess, “Truth” (haven´t finished yet, but love it so far). Will be looking very much forward to the 3rd one and hopefully more books written by you in the years to come :-) . Greetings from Germany

  13. Geralynn says:

I picked up XVI on a whim, because it was on clearance when Borders closed (it’s not my usual genre) and fell in love with it! I downloaded Truth yesterday and read it in one sitting! When can we expect the next book? I can’t wait to find out what happens!!!

    • Julia Karr says:

I am so glad you liked XVI & Truth! I am working on the third book, but don’t have an expected publication date yet. There may end up being some teasers on the blog, so check it out occasionally! :)

  14. Dannielle says:

Truth was even better than XVI, AMAZING job, Julia. I have to say, I don’t know if you mean to write any more after that, but I really feel like you could have made the ending be the part of the book where Chris called her and told her to throw away her receive. The last line could have been, “I dropped my only links to the people I loved into the void.” THEN YOU COULD HAVE A WHOLE BOOK to tell about how they overthrow the government and the people take it back, Dee finally learns that she’s the daughter of Alan, Nina gets some much needed answers from her father, she finally chooses between Sal and Chris (personally, I’m TOTALLY team Chris) and everyone’s lives get back to semi-normal. What do you say? BOOK THREE? PLEASE! Too many lose ends.

    • Dannielle says:

That last comment had too many grammar issues. Here’s my revision:

    • Julia Karr says:

Hi Dannielle! So glad you liked Truth! I actually am working on Book Three – so, keep an eye on this site. ;)

  15. Natasha says:

HAve you thought about making this into a movie? Not a movie where they bunch x amounts of books into one movie but like an Actual good movie? Because that would be Super cool!

  16. Kaytee says:

When will be book 3 be published? I think the whole story premise is very creative!

  17. Christy says:

I absolutely loved the first two books and you made my day when I saw where you said you were working on a third one. I can’t wait to read it and I have to say; I like Chris a lot more than Sal. He jumps seems to fit well with Nina. :)

    • Julia Karr says:

Thank you, Christy! It will be interesting to see who Nina ends up with – won’t it? ;)

      • Christy says:

It will be very interesting. I jut finished reading both books for the fourth time. I’m planning on doing a review of XVI for my newspaper column. I will link it to you when it is up. In the meantime I will anxiously await your next book. :)

  18. Ruby says:

i just whipped through Truth and DAMN, what an ending. excellently done.

question: are we going to see a third XVI book or will you leave us wondering if the government will ever get its comeuppance? ;)

  19. Julia Karr says:

Thank you so much! I hope you like Truth as much!

  20. Aubrey says:

I am getting truth today! I can’t wait to find out what happens! I love XVI so much! I finished it in about 6 hours. Your writing is different for a new society. I feel that some of the books that I read are all the same, but your book was new and different! If this became a movie I would go to the midnight premiere! I love your writing!
